Ostara ๐Ÿ‡๐ŸŒท

Happy Ostara!

Happy Spring Equinox! Today is a day of balance.

On this day, light overtakes the dark. There is a rebirth of life. Now is the time to contemplate new beginnings and fresh ideas. Focus on rebirth and planting, not just in our yard and gardens, but in our daily lives, our dreams, and our goals. Engage in serious mediation on your hopes and dreams for the coming year. This is the solar festival of fire, light, and fertility.

I hope you find time to get outside and enjoy this beautiful day.

Flowers are blooming! Birds are chirping! Everything is waking up to spring and that energy is what Ostara is all about for the witchy household. Itโ€™s time to throw open the windows, stretch wide, and perform a much-needed spring cleaning. Once cleansed, your space needs to be purified and protected to keep any harmful energies, spirits, and magic from settling into your newly cleansed home. Wash windows, doors, and floors with Moon water and lemon juice, and sprinkle a little of the liquid over your carpets. Donโ€™t forget to pour some down drains and toilets as well. Keep bouquets of tulips in your home to bring in prosperity. Hang our linens outside to dry so that they are imbued with Ostaraโ€™s energies of prosperity and fertility. Collect rainwater to use in plant and prosperity magic (April showers bring May flowers). Collect branches of willow, birch, pine, juniper, or other trees to make a besom for use in spiritual and magical cleaning. Make fertility charms from blown eggs filled with chickweed, bachelorโ€™s buttons (cornflower), fennel, or parsley.
